About Cadeaux

Behind the name

Cadeaux was the 2007 National Champion Small Junior Hunter ridden by Zach. More significantly, "cadeaux" is French for "gift".  In reflection, the staff at Cadeaux Show Stables are truly humbled and touched by the outpouring of generosity and support that has been shown to us by the horse community, our clients, our families, and our friends.  You all are our gifts.

Meet Zach Parks, owner and trainer

Zach grew up riding at The Barracks in Charlottesville, Virginia. He had several successful horses including his 2007 USEF National Champion with his Small Junior Hunter Cadeaux. Zach has competed at Devon National, Harrisburg National, Washington International, and many more. Zach’s achievements include 2007 Middleburg Horse Show Derby Champion, Maryland Horse Shows Association Medal Finals, and the Bryon Trophy among other awards. In 2007 Zach also received the Francis Newbill Rowe Sportsmanship Award. He is a graduate of Virginia Tech, receiving a Bachelor’s of Science in Animal Studies with an emphasis in Equine Studies.

While at Virginia Tech, Zach competed on the Virginia Tech Equestrian Team. In the summer of 2010, Zach was fortunate to work an apprenticeship with Olympic Gold Medalist Joe Fargis. Following graduation, Zach served as Head Coach of the University of Virginia Equestrian Team, successfully taking the team to zones as well as several individuals to IHSA Nationals. This culminated in Zach founding what would become Cadeaux Show Stables.

In 2023, Zach also became a USEF licensed official 'R' in the hunter and equitation rings.
